Southern Ontario Giant Scale
Stoney Creek Airport Ontario June 24th-25th 2017
MAAC is holding the first of a planned annual event for Giant Scale airplanes at the Stoney Creek Airport on Mud St in Stoney Creek. The event will be known as SOGS and is open to all Giant Scale aircraft as specified by the old IMAA and covered under MAAC Giant Scale rules. Free flying will take place from 09.00 each day until 5.00pm with a break for Demo's at lunch time. There will be food, raffles and pilot prizes all week end. The event is held with the cooperation of the EAA chapter 65 and Heli-Lynx at Soney Creek Airport. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Macmaster Childrens Hospital In Hamilton Ontario. There will be on site will be available camping from Friday to Monday with no hook ups electrical power will be available for battery charging etc. Pilot registration is $20.00 which will include a T shirt. Pre registration will be available until June 1st.
There will be food and beverages available all week end. It is planned to have pilot draws all through the week end, there will be ongoing raffles all week end plus 50/50 draws and gate prizes. On site vendors are being sought with a variety of products.
As mentioned above this is a MAAC sanctioned event organised by Sothern Ontario Giant Scale committee with support from Giant Scale Canada.
